Indigenous Amazonian Embassy - Ucayali Peru

Strengthening Indigenous peoples, protecting the Amazon rainforest, and promoting intercultural cooperation for a sustainable future.

Bridging ancestral knowledge and modern development.

Our Mission

The Indigenous Amazonian Embassy works to protect Indigenous peoples, their ancestral territories, and the Amazon rainforest.

We promote cultural preservation, land rights, education, health, and sustainable development in close cooperation with local and international partners.

Our goal is to strengthen Indigenous self-determination while building bridges between ancestral knowledge and modern solutions.

About the Founder

Roger Mokanranko Bardales is an Indigenous leader, social entrepreneur, and cultural ambassador of the Shipibo-Konibo people of the Peruvian Amazon.

Born in 1983 in a traditional Indigenous community, he was raised in close connection with nature and ancestral knowledge systems. Recognized as a 'Banco' and Muraya, he has dedicated his life to Amazonian traditional medicine, cultural preservation, and Indigenous rights.

Since 2007, he has shared Indigenous knowledge internationally and built networks across Europe, the United States, and Peru.

In 2022, he was appointed Indigenous Ambassador of the Ucayali region.

First Conference on Traditional Medicine and Indigenous Ancestral Knowledge

In 2023, the Amazonian Indigenous Embassy helped organise the first regional conference on traditional Amazonian medicine and ancestral knowledge, bringing together health and cultural institutions and indigenous peoples.

The meeting sought to strengthen intercultural dialogue between public healthcare and the ancestral healing worldview of Amazonian indigenous peoples.

It also aimed to improve healthcare provision for indigenous communities in the face of persistent problems such as discrimination, malnutrition and high rates of infectious diseases and infant mortality.
