European Tour of Shipibo Culture

The Ambassador shared the ancestral wisdom of the Shipibo-Konibo people with contemporary international audiences.

Roger Bardales, ambassador of the Shipibo-Konibo Indigenous people and master of ancestral medicine, successfully concluded his European tour. Over the course of two months, he traveled through Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, where he shared the knowledge of his ancestors’ traditional medicine, as well as the work of the Embassy, with hundreds of people.

He shared his experience of growing up in the jungle and studying plant medicine from his ancestors since the very young age. The Traditional Amazonian Medicine differs from the conventional medicine, as it looks deeper into the human being and reveals the real causes of diseases. Once the causes are discovered, the real healing can start. Through ancient songs, the structures of the human being and the patterns what are in disorder, can be rearranged. The so called icaros have a special vibration and are sung during treatments like the Shipibo massage therapy.

In order to open the gates so that many people can receive those kind of treatments, the ambassador and the European association are planning on a future center of Traditional Amazonian Medicine. The vision is to create a sanctuary, where many people will be able to receive true healing through the sacred ancestral wisdom of the Shipibo-Konibo.
